(makes enough for 12 servings)
pinch of black pepper
250ml Rude Health Almond Drink or Brown Rice Drink
1 teaspoon Golden Paste
(use more or less depending on your preference)
1 teaspoon Coconut Oil
Honey (to taste)
1. Make the Golden Paste. In a small saucepan gently heat the water, turmeric and black pepper, stirring constantly until a thick paste forms- about 5 minutes. Heat activates turmeric, unlocking its many health-giving properties (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant), while black pepper increases your body’s ability to absorb it.
2. Remove from the heat. At this point, allow the Golden Paste to cool, and transfer it to a jar to store in the fridge for later.
3. Make the Golden Milk. In a small saucepan over a medium heat, mix together the Almond Drink or Brown Rice Drink, Golden Paste and coconut oil, stirring constantly until warm. Do not bring it to the boil. Remove from the heat and mix in honey to taste. Top with generous sprinkle of cinnamon and drink.
