Irish Soda Bread

Soda bread is known as quick bread. No complex sequences or steps.No kneading needed. The perfect low maintenance recipe to befriend.


TIME: 55 minutes



400ml Rude Health Soya Drink

2 tbsp crushed flaxseed

4 tbsp warm water

500g all-purpose flour

40g granulated sugar

2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

4 tbsp plant-based butter


  1. Preheat oven to 200 °C. Line a baking sheet with the siliconebaking mat.
  2. Whisk the flaxseed with the warm water and set aside.
  3. Whisk the flour, sugar, baking soda and salt together in a large bowl. Cut the butter and mix with your hand through the flour. Add the Soya Drink and flaxseed mixture.
  4. Gently fold the dough together until dough is too stiff to stir.
  5. Knead the dough for 1 minute.
  6. Make a nice bread shape and lay on the baking mat.
  7. Bake until the bread is golden brown, about 40 minutes.
