The Forbidden Waffle

Bored of pancake day falling a little flat? Utter Waffle the pop up waffle van that is taking London by storm, are hijacking Pancake day and we’ve decided to give them a hand… Waffles on Pancake Day? Whatever next? Find out about our Forbidden Waffle.

Prep time: 15 minutes

Makes: 4 waffles




150g Plain Flour
100g Rude Health Sprouted Buckwheat Flour
1tbsp Baking Powder
350ml Rude Health Oat Drink
80g dairy-free butter/spread
3 eggs (Vegan? Easy – just replace with any eggs substitute)
2 tbsp Rude Health Apple and Cinnamon Granola (add as much or as little as you like – but lots gives it a great crunch!)


Fresh and Dried Fruits
Berry Smoothie (we blend fruit with dairy-free coconut yoghurt!)
Flaked Almonds


Combine all batter ingredients and cook in a non-stick waffle iron.

Once golden brown, safely remove the waffle from the iron…and get creative.
