WHAT IS OAT MILK?
Oat Milk is a refreshing alternative to milk. Compared to other dairy alternatives, Oat Milk is subtle, comforting and creamy. It blends best in tea and coffee because it is most similar in flavour to dairy milk, but it can also add an oaty edge to soups, smoothies, bakes and shakes.
Oat Milk is one of the most popular dairy alternatives amongst baristas. Its taste and texture blend seamlessly into Americanos and lattes, and it froths just as well as dairy milk, making it the perfect choice for cappuccinos, macchiatos and flat whites.
DID YOU KNOW?
Do you love oats so much that you’ve considered bathing in them? You’re not alone. An oatbath is created by adding 1 cup of finely ground oats to bathwater and it has long been used to soothe inflamed skin conditions including chickenpox, eczema, and sunburn.
WHAT MAKES OURS DIFFERENT?
Like all of our drinks, Rude Health Oat Drink is Organic. Wholegrain Organic oats are blended with pure mountain spring water, a touch of cold-pressed sunflower oil and a pinch of sea salt. That’s it. No nonsense. Our oats are also Gluten Free, which makes our Oat Drink Gluten Free. We source our oats far away from wheat fields to allow no cross contamination with any other grains. Gluten-Free, but flavour full.
Rude Health Oat Drink is a coffee shop favourite, but that doesn’t mean you need to be a barista to get the best out of it. Our Oat Drink froths like a dream and we steer clear of the unnatural froth-ability boosting additives that are normally used in dairy alternatives. When ¾ of your coffee is milk, you want to make sure you’re choosing a dairy alternative that froths just as good as it is good for you.
HOW TO FROTH RUDE HEALTH OAT DRINK:
- Make sure our oat drink is at room temperature.
- Steam our oat drink as you would a dairy milk, making sure it stays at a low temperature (55-60⚬C)
- Rest, swirl and then tap the pitcher to remove any surface bubbles.
- Pour into a shot of espresso and serve in a ceramic mug. Latte art encouraged.
HOW TO MAKE OAT MILK:
Oat milk can be made simply at home using only oats and water, but we add a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavour and a splash of cold-pressed sunflower oil to smoothen the texture.

HOW WE LIKE IT:
Drench it over Rude Health Ginger and Turmeric Granola and watch your oaty milk turn honey golden, use liberally for lighter pancakes or for double the oats, pour it over Rude Health Fruity Date porridge.
You’re in rude health when you froth it like it’s hot. You’re more oat couture than haute couture. You drink coffee and do silly things faster, with more energy.
