At Rude Health, we’re proudly picky when it comes to quality ingredients. Just as we source the best oats, almonds and coconuts for our drinks, we take the very same care with our coffee. When it came to crafting our new iced coffee, we weren’t about to settle for anything less than bean brilliance – 100% organic Arabica, sourced from sustainable farms in Latin America.

But we don’t just do organic because it sounds good on a label. We do it because we believe it’s better — for the planet, for the people who grow our food, and for every single sip of iced coffee you enjoy.

Let’s spill the beans...

Why organic?

There are lots of ways to get coffee into your cup. You can pop into that cool, tiny coffee shop down the road, where the beans are often single-origin and directly sourced from growers. That’s great if you’re only brewing a few bags at a time.

But when you’re making a product for supermarket shelves, like our iced coffee, you need a supply that’s sustainable, reliable, and scalable — without compromising on ethics or flavour. Enter certified organic coffee beans. They’re sourced from a network of vetted growers in Latin America, all hitting seriously high third-party organic standards.

The result? Every sip of our iced coffee stays just as smooth, balanced and delicious as the first — all while supporting sustainable farming practices that protect people and the planet.

What does organic coffee farming actually mean?

Organic coffee farming isn’t just about swerving the chemical nasties. It’s about teaming up with nature to grow the crop and create a healthier, happier environment for everyone involved. Here’s our full brew on it:

·       Partner Planting: Organic farmers plant a mix of trees and plants alongside coffee to naturally enrich the soil, attract beneficial insects, and reduce the risk of pests. Think of it as nature’s compost system, without the chemicals.

·       Shade-growing: Coffee bushes are grown under the canopy of taller trees, mimicking a natural forest environment. This keeps the coffee cool (Arabica hates extreme heat!), saves water, and creates habitats for wildlife to thrive. Chill beans = happy beans.

·       Healthy soil, healthy beans: Organic farmers invest a lot of time and care into creating healthy soil full of natural nutrients and microorganisms. This helps the plants thrive, and makes farms more resilient to droughts, floods, and other natural disasters.

·       No nasties: No chemicals means no harmful runoff, protecting local water systems, and safer working conditions for farmers and their communities.

·       Certified every step: Organic is one of the most rigorous and trusted environmental certifications in the world. Every step, from the farm to our warehouse, is traceable and transparent. No shortcuts. No compromises.

No chemicals, no corners cut — just coffee grown slowly, sustainably, and with a whole lot of love for the land. That’s why we choose organic.
